    Post Nokia 6220 LocationProvider

Does the Nokia 6220 implement LocationProvider and can you get the real latitude & longitude of the device?

(Trying to figure out whether I should buy it or not)

Ups - I mean the Nokia 6220 Classic ('3' in Denmark is marketing it as only the Nokia 6220)

And I see that it has an impressive 5 megapixel camera with Carl Zeiss optics. Does that mean that it also has camera JSR-234/AMMS support (FocusControl etc.)?

No support for AMMS camera controls on that device (or platform edition in general), unfortunately.
JST-179 is supported, the supported features (LocationProvider is a central class of JSR-179 so it is supported) are listed in the implmentation notes

A shame about the lack of AMMS camera controls. Else it would be the perfect test handset for my application - a true Android killer :-)

    Re: Nokia 6220 LocationProvider

Hartti, you know if there are any plans to support camera AMMS in the future?
    It's getting a little embarrassing.
If you compare the Sony Ericsson C702 to the Nokia 6220 Classic, they both have built-in GPS and JSR-179, they both have around 128 mb of internal storage, the 6220 has a 5 megapixel camera, where the C702 only has a 3.2 megapixel camera, yet only the C702 supports zooming, focusing, etc. from Java ...

Unfortunately I cannot comment on future roadmaps.
And if you are asking about supporting camera on that specific devices, then the aswer is no - it will not get on the device through a firmware update.

I'll ask from the dev team if there is anything we could share.
