    WRT available on N810

    Hi there!

I couldn't find anywhere if the N810 supports WRT.
I know it's not S60 but Maemo, but if your read : http://www.nseries.com/index.html#l=...p,articles,414

    The guy says

Especially now that we have great Python bindings and the support for Web Run-Time, the community should find it very easy to create the same kind of applications that Apple is doing on their dashboard.
So, can we run WRT apps on the N810 ?

N810 and Maemo do not support the web runtime. It uses a browser called MicroB, which is Gecko (Mozilla) based rather than WebKit based.

But it is so quite a bit that it's not worth trying out. You dont have the native API and you have the widget running in a browser window.

It is the same as saying everything that has a browser can run "quite a bit" of WRT. The reason why I get ironic here is the fact that my N810 has a homescreen with some kind of widgets, the N97 has other kinds of widgets and my 5800 has neither of them. So I already tried out writing some widget that could run on both of my devices.
