I am trying to secure my WAP interface into my companies portal. I currently support the Nokia 6590 and 8390 models. I'm having trouble getting a certaificate to download to the 6590 model ( I have been successful with the 8390 ). In a nutshell what I'm seeing is that the 8390 accepts the certificate but the 6590 gives me a "File format unknown" error. When I dump the headers for the 6590, I dont see vnd.wap.wtls-ca-certificate as a MIME type it accepts although when I looked at the official Nokia MIME types document, it states that the 6590 does know this mime type.

BTW, the accept list for the 6590 is this:
accept:
application/vnd.wap.wmlc,
application/vnd.wap.wmlscriptc,
application/vnd.wap.wbxml,
image/vnd.wap.wbmp,
image/gif,
application/*,
text/html,
text/x-vCalendar,
text/x-vCard,
application/xhtml+xml,
text/css,
application/vnd.wap.xhtml+xml,
multipart/*,
application/vnd.wap.cert-response,
application/vnd.wap.signed-certificate,
application/vnd.wap.hashed-certificate,
application/vnd.syncml+wbxml,
application/vnd.wap.mms-message,
text/x-co-desc,
application/vnd.nokia.ringing-tone,
application/x-wap-prov.browser-bookmarks,
application/x-wap-prov.browser-settings,
application/x-NokiaGameData,
image/bmp,
image/vnd.wap.wbmp,
text/x-wap.wml,
text/vnd.wap.wml,
text/x-hdml,
text/html,
text/vnd.wap.wmlscript,
*/*,

I tried associating the certificate related mime types to my certificte file, but I get a certificate correpted error ( I
tried these mime types with both binary and base64 certificates ). I believe I've tried every variation and have had no luck.

HELP!!!!

Do I need a software upgrade for this phone to get the correct MIME type?

once again, let me re-iterate, HHHHEEEELLLPPP
