    Getting International Country code.

    Hi,

Is it possible to get the ISD code of the country using symbian app(the app will be installed in any country, based on the country the ISD code should be fetched) ?

If above stuff is impossible, is their any way to get in any other means?

    My taught:
Already i made a application which has the capacity of fetching the mobile country code, so based on the mobile country code i am getting, i ll compare with the DB(which will be created during app. installation) which has mobile country code mapped to its ISD.

So at last i ll be getting the ISD based on mobile country code.

Whether the above approach sounds good?

Pls suggest me some idea to over come this problem...

    Thanks
    Srivatsan

    Hello,

Mapping the ISD codes with the Mobile Country Codes seems to be the appropriate solution to me. I would suggest you to use an XML file for the mapping. To read a particular XML file look at Tiny XML as a choice.

I have seen any Real API, anyway mapping the Cell's country to country code should work ok, also you could maybe try checking the SMSC's number, it is usually in fully qualified international number, so you could try fetching the country code from it as well.
