Question Creating installable with python script as executable

    Hi all,

I am new to mobile programming.
I wrote one python script, I am able to run it on emulator as well as hardware.
But when running on both first I have to launch python script shell and then I am running script.
I want to create ICON in hardware, so that user need not to launch python script shell. Just by clicking on ICON user should able to run the script.

    Can anyone please help me?

    Hello,
you just have to create a sis file from your .Py file. If you have a 2nd edition device than use py2sis and if you had a 3rd ed device than use ensemble. You can get the more help on py2sis from wiki site.
    Hope you find it.
    Good luck.

    Hi mobil.prog

welcome to the forum nokia python dibo.
Now as you have third edition device you can use ensymble for that for creating standalone applications.
Moreover you can have a look at this PyS60 FAQ thread which will be very helpful to you when you are making standalone applications.

    Hope this helps you
