    Buggy/malformed vCal calendar with Nokia 8310 ?

    Hi,
I'm writing a sync application for Linux using IrOBEX for my Nokia 8310 (v05.06), and it seems that the /telecom/cal.vcs file is malformed/buggy ...
    - On the phone, I create a "memo" entry in the calendar with the
    following memo text :
    foo<CR>
    bar
    - Then I fetch, from my computer, the /telecom/cal.vcs calendar file
with IrOBEX and I get this :
    BEGIN:VCALENDAR
    BEGIN:VTODO
    DUE:20030213T000000
    SUMMARY:foo
    bar
    DESCRIPTION:foo
    bar
    CATEGORIES:MISCELLANEOUS
    PRIORITY:0
    STATUS:NEEDS ACTION
    END:VTODO
    END:VCALENDAR
This file is not a correct vCalendar ... The problem is with the multi-line SUMMARY and DESCRIPTION property. The specification from http://www.imc.org/pdi/pdiproddev.html says that long lines and multi-line properties should follow the RFC822 folding method and use a special encoding (quoted-printable or base64) when necessary ...
So, the expected correct format would be :
    BEGIN:VCALENDAR
    BEGIN:VTODO
    DUE:20030213T000000
    SUMMARY;ENCODING=QUOTED-PRINTABLE:foo=0D=0Abar
    DESCRIPTION;ENCODING=QUOTED-PRINTABLE:foo=0D=0Abar
    CATEGORIES:MISCELLANEOUS
    PRIORITY:0
    STATUS:NEEDS ACTION
    END:VTODO
    END:VCALENDAR
    right ?

    Is this issue still open?

We have noticed the same feature. Are there any solutions for this?
