    [Update] Unity 1.00 (game)

    Greetings,

    http://jouni.miettunen.googlepages.com/unity

    Version 1.00, release date 2008-10-05

    • Dedicated to croozeus.com (featured app #7)
    • Settings: fade-out ON/OFF
    • Separate Top-10 for each game size

    Unity was originally invented in Japan 1985 as "Chain Shot!" by Kuniaki Moribe. After that it has spread all over the world with names such as SameGame, TumeGame, KomeGame, MameGame, DebaGame, TileFall, Cabeem, MaciGame, GD-BMD etc.

    The idea is to clear the whole playing area by removing tiles in groups. The more tiles you remove at the same time, the more points you get. The trick is that the scoring system is exponential:

    1 tile - cannot be removed
    2 tiles - (2-2) ** 2 == 0 points
    3 tiles - (3-2) ** 2 == 1
    4 tiles - (4-2) ** 2 == 4
    5 tiles - (5-2) ** 2 == 9
    ...
    n tiles - (n-2) ** 2 == Lots of points

    Tip: As you can see you should remove small groups in order to
    create larger groups. When the group is big enough even just one
    more tile will make a big difference.

    When you remove tiles, the space will be filled by tiles above
    falling down. Empty columns will be filled by sliding remaining
    columns to left. If you manage to clear the whole field, you will
    get 1000 points as a bonus and go to next level.

    Usage

    Use arrow keys (joystick) to move the white selection rectangle around the board.

    Press Select (joystick) to make a selection to remove tile and all neighbouring tiles with same color.

    Press Backspace (C key, Clear key) to undo one last move.

    Press Star (*) to save a screenshot into C:\Data\Images

    Enjoy,

    --jouni

    Hello JOM

    Here are some work for you

    1) It seems that new Animation on/off is bugged !
    if I choose Animation off and I return to this menu , option is not saved ...

    2) In the Settings option , you have access to an option Reset If you click on it , score are reset
    I don't think that behaviour must be there because in Top10 option reset can be choiced and works perfectly !

    3) When I reset score I lose also my automatic name in the score

    I like separated score by difficulty level and animation on/off if it works !

    Please fix it

    Great, was just downloading S60 5.0 SDK! Noticed that croozeus has tested Unity in S60 5.0 and that it doesn't support touch event. How could I resist such a challenge Already have a pretty good guess what's wrong...

    Ok, accepted as defect. It's supposed to work that way, but now that you found it out, I can fix it

    Ups That's a Copy & Paste (TM) defect, definitely should not work that way!

    Yes, But I think, it will be solved in the official PyS60 Release for S60 5th edition

    So the way out is implementing sensors which won't work with the SDK anyways but with the real device !

    Worried,
    Its normal with PyS60 for 3rd Edition on S60 5th Edition emulator

    In my case, it detects to some extent, when the ball is in the center, but sensitivity is not good either.

    I guess PyS60 for 5th edition is on its way
