    Replace the Previous Version in Nokia 6275

    Hi

    I am using Nokia 6275 (Reliance CDMA) ,i try to update the client automatically from a server,when a latest version of JAR is downloaded it is not getting replaced in the existing version ,instead it is downloaded and install as a new MIDlet suite.it doesn't ask any message to replace the existing version,but in Nokia E65 (GSM) it ask a message to replace the existing one.pls help me to find out a solution.

    Hi,
    Thats very interesting problem.You can try one thing is just install the application on any other phone - CDMA and try the same.Whether this problem again coming on the other handset.

    check the GPRS settings for the phone you are using right now.

    Have you changed any JAD/manifest attributes (like MIDlet-Vendor, MIDlet-Name)? Is the version number higher that in the existing version? How did you install the previous version on the phone? Is either one of the MIDlet versions signed?

    For Hartti,
    1.No i haven't changed JAD/manifest attributes.
    2.No ,Both versions are same.
    3.Through GPRS.
    4.None of the version is not signed.

    What if you try changing the version number to be a little bigger. Usually that's the way it should be in upgrades :-)
