How do i get manufacturer certificate?

I'm building one application using J2ME for Symbian S40 device. I read through the article that I need to have manufacturer protection domain certificate. Here is the URL of that article - 'http://wiki.forum.nokia.com/index.php/Java_Security_Domains'.

Is there any Nokia admin/person who can help me point to a contact person/URL from where I can get the procedure for this?

Sorry to be harsh, but basically you do not get it.

In Nokia's case the application has to be built by Nokia or then it has to be Nokia-branded with a business case for branding.
SOme other manufacturers might have some other requirements, but in every case, some kind of partnering is required.
The same goes to operator certificates.

What is your reason to ask for manufacturer certificate?

Re: How do i get manufacturer certificate?

I'm creating an application which requires the application to start automatically when a SMS push is given. Generally it asks a security dialog/warning to the user whether application should be allowed to start. I want that the security dialog/warning shouldn't come. While searching what to do about this, i reached the article and assume that if I get application signed with nokia's manufacturer domain cert then I have the solution.

I am ready to talk to Nokia authorities/personnel and show that the application has genuine use. We can discuss on branding too.

Can you help me get to a point of contact for this?

You can send the details of the application, information about your company, information on what are the benefits of the application to Nokia end-users and Nokia in general to me through my screen name. But I have to be honest in here: Most likely you would be wasting your time; the manufacturer siginng very likley is not happening for your MIDlet. I promise to read through your message still.
