When you have WAP 2.0 mobile device ...

When you have WAP 2.0 mobile device it should have XHTML support and WAP stack support, isn?t it going to be easy to use the XHTML over TCP rather the WAP stack and if so what is the benefit of having a WAP G/W in the enterprise side? Is it any benefit for the XHTML over the WAP?

    Hello!

Initially XHTML enabled terminals will use WAP/WSP stack for the transport, meaning that XHTML is delivered to the terminal using WAP/WSP stack. That is why WAP gateways are still needed also when delivering XHTML content. In the future, the TCP/IP stack will be taken into use.

    Kind regards,
