    Unhappy non compability btw 9.2/9.3 - IAP dialog

    we hv one symbian signed app perfectly running on pre 9.3 devices.
    One of the feature app have is,
    In configuration file, application have predefined access point name. At startup application go through all IAPs on phone and if predfined IAP is available, connects to GPRS without prompting IAP selection dialog to user.

    Running same sis on 6220c, 5320 exp music etc (9.3 based devices) IAP dialog pops up !!!!!!!

    Do we need to launch new version of application for 9.3 devices ?
    Do we need to revise application with each FP ?

    Our application does a similar thing, the following piece of code does the job on N78 (FP2 device). Please verify your code against this.

    Code:
    TCommDbConnPref prefs;
    	// Create overrides (connection preference variable)
        prefs. SetDialogPreference(ECommDbDialogPrefDoNotPrompt);	// setup preferences
        prefs.SetDirection(ECommDbConnectionDirectionOutgoing);
        prefs.SetIapId(iIAPId]);
    User::LeaveIfError( iConnection.Start(prefs) );
    You'll have to find the iIAPId of the IAP with a particular name (as it is your requirement).

    I don't see a reason for you to use any thing else than "do not prompt". I mean, it will achieve what you want. Unless it is absolutely necessary for you to use for what you are already using, I would suggest go for the "do not prompt" mode. Even I blindly followed the ENUM and it works for me.
