    Settings menu

    can i have a settings menu (or something close) like the one in calender->settings , in my midlet?

    Don't quite understand your question, but will try to help

    But for such a thing you will have to create a Form and add items such as choiceGroup, Gauge (interactive), etc.

    I will recommend to go to the Java Developers Library
    Java Developers Library

    And Check Documentation about user interface.

    Hi mikecotic,
    Yeah your post is not clear.Provide the information like you want this on CANVAS or FORM.There information are very much needed while
    you want to do things like this.

    In case of canvas you can do it much simply. For form you can use list and thats the only way you can do.However in case of canvas you can take string arrays and then you can draw the menu type on the keypressed events.

    the idea of custom controls is nice , how can i make text filed with those custom controls?

    You are only asking for making the menu and submenu..right..never written textfield..you need,

    Will ! I would rather prefer that you work with Form only,because you can easily port this.Tell me what you have to use FORM or CANVAS.

    i was just looking to create a settings form in my app , i got my main form with a setings button and i want it to redirect it there . shouldn't this control be available?

    and as for the custom component thigny , i was asking how to create a textfiled using this inhertiance , if any1 got some code - it's connect to my first question .
