    Re: [moved] Receiving SMS silently..

    iDetails member variable of the TMsvEntry Class contains the number of the sender - if the number is not stored in the contact database or the name of the sender. You can easily filter the required numbers. You can get TMsvEntry from a CMsvEntry by calling the CMsvEntry::Entry() function.

    i suggest using CSmsHeader::FromAddress() rather then using iDetails

    Unhappy Re: [moved] Receiving SMS silently..

    Hello friends,

    I am developing an application for blocking sms without any sound...
    In my RunL() I have long process to execute like I fetch values from database and check for the current incoming sms if the match found then block the sms..
    this take some time to execute... Because of this my functionaliy works well but there is sound for received sms..
    Below is the code I am using for receiving sms silently... Before this code I am fetching data from my database near about 300 data entries..

    if(entry.Unread())
    {
    entry.SetInPreparation(EFalse);
    entry.SetUnread(EFalse);
    iMsvEntry->ChangeL(entry);
    }

    plz help me... I want to execute my complete RunL first then normal sms service...

    Thanking you in advance....

    If those 300 patterns mean 300 prefixes, you can try stress-testing the socket-based approach (SMS Utilities API from the plugin packs: http://wiki.forum.nokia.com/index.php/SDK_API_Plug-in) with 300 sockets, otherwise there is no reliable way.
