    epocroot

    Hi,
I just started development under the Series 60 SDK for Symbian OS.
I have this problem with compilation of the hello world example.
    I do as follows:

I use the directory by the instalation.
    C:\symbian\6.1\series60\epoc32ex\helloworld

    "bldmake bldfiles"

    It gives me these errors,

    C:\Symbian\6.1\Series60\Epoc32Ex\HelloWorld>bldmake bldfiles
ERROR: Must set the EPOCROOT environment variable
    BEGIN failed--compilation aborted at C:\SYMBIAN\6.1\SHARED\EPOC32\TOOLS\/E32env.
    pm line 39.
    BEGIN failed--compilation aborted at C:\SYMBIAN\6.1\SHARED\EPOC32\TOOLS/bldmake.
    pl line 31.

What could be the problem? I just installed Visual c++ 6.0, the SDK and service pack 5..
I have set the path epocroot
    set EPOCROOT=C:\Symbian|6.1\Series60in autoexec.bat

    Thanks

    RE: epocroot

EPOCROOT can not include a drive letter. You have to set it to:
    \Symbian\6.1\blahblahblah

Which means that the tools need to be on the same drive that your project is on.
    Ok ?
