    Error in Debugging/Building a project

    Hello All!
    I am novice to Symbian Programming.
    I have carbide.C++ v1.3 and series60 SDK 2nd edition fp3.
    I tried to build the newly made "hello world!" project(without editing any code) but it gave error.
    SDK,carbide and perl aint installed at the drive C(where OS is installed) of my PC. It may ve nothing to do with the problem but still its for information.

    So the errors i get are:
    >BLDMAKE ERROR: Directory "\Symbian\8.1a\S60_2nd_FP3\EPOC32\" does not exist
    >bldmake returned with exit value = 1

    and a warning:
    WARNING: EPOCROOT does not specify an existing directory

    I don't know how to fix them. Please Help me out....

    Re: Error in Debugging/Building a project

    Your project has to reside on the same drive where the SDK is. Location of other tools does not matter, but this particular one matters. As you can see, the path "\Symbian\8.1a\S60_2nd_FP3\EPOC32\" does not contain a drive letter. Perl scripts of the SDK can not handle the ':' character (they treat it as a separator of a sequence), that is the reason.
