    Some problems with app

    Hello.
    I am currently programming a multimedia application. But Unfortunately I have met some problems that I could not find a solution to them.

    My problems are:
    1) download data from the server to app(help to fix my currently code).
    2) when you go to menu -> Settings. the tabs are not open a separate window,they just stuck (Because settings Tabs did not open in a new window)(help to fix my currently code).
    3) Create LISTBOX on window settings.
    4) Import of plug-ins/skins/languages.
    5) Option to enter into music player in separate window, when you choose this selection:
    Code:
     Delete by user

    Rafael helped me in finding articles. How do I get it but I do not write it right.

    Please bring me examples of codes so that I can write them right.

    this my app code:

    Code:
    Delete by user

    Thanks,
    yonatan.

    Incidentally, I am really sorry for my bad English

    Hi yonatan,

    I have seen your topics about this application you are doing and I'm trying to help you with your problems as much as I can. Well, I am not going to answer any of your questions now, but I'll give you a hint:

    Since your application is kind of big(involves music, video, web etc), you should try implementing one feature at a time

    So first, make your software play the musics. After completing this task successfully, make it play videos, then display pictures, then implement the library, then download things from web and so on ...

    If you implement everything at the same time your code will become confusing and kind of dirty

    BR,

    Rafael.

    Actually a little exaggeration with requests.

    In any case, your idea is really good, so I use it.
    By the way, if I create a one file for each part of the PY Software (Menu, Play music, viewing photos, etc.) - then can i integrate everyone into one SIS file?

    Just to add to Gargi's answer: one way to do it is to make a folder containing the files and distribute that along with your main application. Look for the --extrasdir option of py2sis or the simplesis function in the Ensymble documentation. Or an even simpler way: instead of specifying a file as the argument for py2sis, specify a folder that contains your main py file (renamed default.py) and other files you may need.

    Yes, like Bogdan and Gargi told you, Ensymble tool could get your SIS files all together. Algthough, I would use Bogdan's idea: make a folder and put the scripts there

    Then you could run your default script and you would save the plug-in's script that the user downloaded into the folder you created

    And on the default script you could have a little piece of code for checking if user downloaded or not the skin/plug-in

    Thank you guys

    Rafael,
    Can I make folder in folder, & SIS file will contain all
    folders(& while create then after installation)?
    See an example:
    Code:
    Vnixe -> data(music.py, image.py, video.py)
             plug-in(none)
             skins(default.py) -> images(buttonr.gif, buttonl.gif)
             language(english.py)

    Re: Some problems with app

    You can have folder in folder. Just that the script called default.py has to be in the main folder. So that would be something like:
    Code:
    Vnixe
       |
       default.py
       |
       data(music.py, image.py, video.py)
       |
       plug-in(none)
       |
       skins(whatever goes here)
       |   |
       |   images(buttonr.gif, buttonl.gif)
       |
       language(english.py)

    ok.
    But from the "default.py". How can import the rest of the files?

    Well, you can do just like you would do in any other case:

    Code:
    def function():

        f='C:\\Python\\script.py'
        execfile(f)

    See this
    http://wiki.forum.nokia.com/index.php/How_to_make_py_to_sis_for_3rd_Editon_devices]article

    In some:
    If your application needs network connectivity or other special capabilities, there is the --caps option. For short help on options, type:

    Code:
    ensymble_python.py py2sis -h
    I did not manage to do that when i create an SIS
