    Hi,

I don't think you can add such menu item to an inbuilt application unless and until APIs to do so are published by the NOKIA/app developer.

You may need to find, are such APIs are available and yes then check if those are made public to use.

    Thanks.

It seems only sms can add menuitem, but other in-built app not.

    Hi,

exaclty as others say - there is no way how to modify the existing applications, if they not explicitly expose some API to do it.

Hey All thanks for your replies.
I'll see if I can find more info.

If anybody does find more about these API's please post it here...

    Thanks

Re: How to add MenuItem to in-Built application?

    Hi,

Wished to add more info for this. Basically the menu-items of any app means UI-module. Since only SMS mtm has its UI as separate dll and with Manufacturer capabilities one can replace native SMSMtmUI with custom, hence you can display menu-items in SMS Mtm. If even contacts app also does the same way then you can replace its UI module with custom and hence can display user defined menu-items.

    Was it clear?

    Thanks
