    Question Problem in mmp

    Hi,

I am getting compile time error. It is coming in epoc32/include. When I remove one of the include folder from user include. Then the problem get sorted but when I again include it again problems comes.

Some time problem get removes when i firstly remove the user include folder using carbide and then compile and then again I include the folders.

I am doing all these actions using carbide editor.

Is there any spacing related problem in mmp

    Re: Problem in mmp

This should be a system include (SYSTEMINCLUDE) directive in the mmp file, not a user include as its a system type folder.

    Re: Problem in mmp

I had included /epoc32/include only in system include.

I am taking about that compiling is getting effected from other folders which I am including in user include and compilation error is showing that there is problem in the files of /epoc32/include

Hiding code and multiposting (http://discussion.forum.nokia.com/fo...d.php?t=150016) is a bad combination, by the way. Anyway, let us continue here.

    Re: Problem in mmp

    Hi,

Some of the things you can improve in the mmp before we fix your problem
    a) have following source paths
    SOURCEPATH ..\src
    SOURCEPATH ..\..\common\src

    and change sources to
    Source Callback.cpp connect.cpp etc...

Above the error code, is that the only error you get. Is that what is displayed when you complie on command prompt?
Can you send the exact error you get when compiled on cmd prompt.
    Regards

    Re: Problem in mmp

Actually I had created mmp file only by using carbide editor and it has created the file in this way.

I had compiled using carbide not from command prompt.

    Re: Problem in mmp

    hmm...
Can you go to the group folder of your project and give following commands on cmd prompt

    bldmake bldfiles
    abld build winscw urel

and send back the error you get

Also after including the new path, how about closing and restarting the project. See if it helps.
Carbide errors are somethings not so helpful

    Re: Problem in mmp

    Hi,

Can you check whats at line 12 in SymbianAppui.cpp

Also is fbs.h bitstd.h included somewhere in your code?

the error list seems to be a long one... one way to break out of this problem is to start isolating files to see which one is causing the problem.
Best way to isolate is to compile each src in carbide by right clicking so you start seeing some files compiling and some not.
Also can you check if the inc and ..\..\common\inc dont contain any common files
    Regards

    Re: Problem in mmp

Check what you are #include-ing in symbianAppUi.cpp before "#include <aknmessagequerydialog.h>". The ; is probably missing at the end of a class declaration in that file.

    Re: Problem in mmp

It is showing problem in /epoc32/include . So problem should be something else not with the library.
