Configuring Mail for Exchange via OMA-CP messages

Hi all - Im just trying to see if anyone has tried to send MfE profile settings to a device using an OMA-CP message instead of using the OMA .DDF supported by the application. The use case being that if the device isnt registered with an OMA DM server settings could still be sent over the air.

This also opens up a more generic question. Are other applications able to have their own OMA-CP settings capabilities as part of an optional development effort by the application developer. Or are we restriced to only the following OMA-CP possibilities within S60 :-

    Any ideas most welcome

    Thanks,

    Max

    Hi mboella.

Could you establish mfe settings throw OMA-CP. Could I have a sample of it?

    Thanks a lot.

As far as i know Nokia doesn't provide adapters for MFE. So configuring MFE via OMA CP is not possible. In that case can third party developers write their own adapters.

Thanks a lot. I have seeing on the URL that I can create a WBXML file and sending this file throw WAP. Do you know if I can use a local file with WBXML settings or I need an Internet connection to read it?

    Best regards
