Thumbs down Is auto-start functionality available on Nokia 6300?

    Hi,

Is auto-start functionality available on Nokia 6300?

    I tried following:
    Nokia-midlet-auto-start:yes
    Midlet-Push-1: autostart://:,midletename,*

    "Nokia-midlet-auto-start:yes" works on Nokia 5610.
Both does not work in Nokia 6300.

    Thanks In Advance,

    Hi Hartti,

    Thanks for the reply.

Then what is the alternative available to auto-start the midlet?
Also can you list down the s40 devices that supports auto-start functionality?.
One device that I am aware of is Nokia 5610 which supports "Nokia-Midlet-auto-start:yes".

    With Regards,

    There is no alternative available.
I suppose the newer Series 40 phones should support that JAD attribute (meaning 5th Edition FP1 onwards) but I am not 100% sure.

Just to add some more information.

Beside ‘yes’ there is another option, too
    Code:
    Nokia-MIDlet-auto-start: once
This is used by ‘My Nokia’. There is no need to sign your MIDlet to get this working. As mentioned, it is enough to have it in your JAD or JAR. However, if you deploy your MIDlet via Bluetooth, you have to start it at least once – otherwise that property is not detected. By the way, that static property can be quite annoying as I am not aware of a dynamic variant.
