threading image to a gif image ? (j2me)

    hi,

is it possible to allow a mobile user to save a threaded image as a normal animated image/ gif format image in the phone memory?

    Thanks in advance.

    Hi,

if you mean merging more images into one animated GIF then the answer is yes, you can, but only by implementing/using a Java ME GIF encoder.

Here's a link to a Standard Java one, that you could try to port to Java ME (it should be enough to replace BufferedImage, Color and few other things):

    hi, i give u a scenario .

    Example

i made a application to let the user to select their background, their character.

With that character, the user can set it to walk from left to right of the canvas with threading.

this way the user create their own animation and want to save it as an animated picture image into their own hp to send through mms to the friends.

Is it possible to save it to an animated picture ?

Sure, this is possible. But as told in my previous reply, you need a Java ME GIF encoder to create your own GIF image starting from static images.

Then, if you want to save the image in the device filesystem, you have to use FileConnection API.
