    Multilanguage app for Certified signing

    Hi,
    My Application supports multiple languages . But package header name and Localized vendor name is same in all languages. Should I use the package file
    ; Languages.
    &EN,FR,IT,GE,SP

    ; Package-header - InHand's name, UID, major, minor, and build-number.
    #{"Poker","Poker","Poker","Poker","Poker"},(0x20016754),3,5,0,TYPE=SA

    ; Supports Series 60 v 3.0
    [0x101F7961], 0, 0, 0, {"S60ProductID","S60ProductID","S60ProductID","S60ProductID","S60ProductID"}

    ; Localised Vendor name
    %{"Encora","Encora","Encora","Encora","Encora"}

    OR

    ; Languages.
    &EN

    ; Package-header - InHand's name, UID, major, minor, and build-number.
    #{"Poker"},(0x20016754),3,5,0,TYPE=SA

    ; Supports Series 60 v 3.0
    [0x101F7961], 0, 0, 0, {"S60ProductID"}

    ; Localised Vendor name
    %{"Encora"}

    If i use the second format , will it affect the certified signing?

    Regs,
    Jinu

    I doubt that the second variant is accepted by makesis, have you simply tested it?

    Thanks for the reply. The second variant works without any issue. My concern is will it affect the symbian certified signing?

    a) Which of the testing criteria do you find problematic?
    b) What exactly is the problem with the first format?

    Testing criteria does not say anything related to multilanguage support.
    Package header name and Localized vendor name remains same for all the langagues. So what is the need of repeating the same?

    I can ask the same, if there is no related testing criteria what is the the reason for your concerns?

    At the same time, if your application is supposed to follow the multilanguage istallation pattern, as documented in the SDK, it should not be a problem for you to copy paste a string several times in the PKG file.
