    Unknown Midlet Supplier

I am trying to install my j2me application on my Nokia N95,while installation it shows Details as

    Supplier : Unknown

    Type : Unknown

    Web Address : Unknown

I have set the midlet attribute for Midlet Vendor from the Jad ,yet it shows Unknown. It is not the case with Nokia 6600 where i get proper Supplier.

    Please help

    Hi,

I think you have to sign your midlet and then it will not show this values. Try signing midlet with Sun Java Wireless Toolkit and then run your application via OTA. This will be only for testing purpose since signing midlet only with Sun WTK wont remove any sort of confirmation on the real phone.

But yes your problem that you are getting supplier unknown will be removed if you sign your midlet.

    Re: Unknown Midlet Supplier

We can set following properties in JAD file
To set Type we use MIDlet-Description
To set Web Address we use MIDlet-Info-URL

    Supplier : Unknown

    Type : (MIDlet-Description)

    Web Address : (MIDlet-Info-URL)

    Example :
MIDlet-Description : An Entertainment application (Type)
    MIDlet-Info-URL : http://www.pepper.pk (Web Address)
