    Series 40 6th Edition: Developing Java ME applications with force-sensitive joystick

    Hello to Java ME developers,

    with Series 40 6th Edition SDK and 6260 Slide out, here's an opener on a new interface, the Force Sensitive Joystick API.

    Series 40 6th Edition extends the Nokia UI API with a new interface, the Force Sensitive Joystick API.
    This API enables developing more sophisticated Java ME applications such as games and navigation applications with the MIDP Canvas.

    The API is available on 6260 Slide: the device includes new 360° navi-key which works as a force sensitive joystick and is a precondition for using the API.
