Re: Problem for build application with QT S60 for real device

Are you sure about that this question is related to QT? Anyway, you should simply read the release notes and/or data sheets of the different Carbide variants. Note that you can also find a Carbide.c++ version (1.2) in the "Archive" section of the "Tools" page.
If you are planning to use QT on S60 2nd edition, note that Carbide's support does not guarantee QT's support for S60 2nd edition.

    Tool's Clarification

    Hi,
    1. Can Series 60_2nd edition (8.0a) be activated with any on-debuger, such Carbide or Code Warior ?
    2. What version of Visual C (VC6 or 2003 or 2005, ...) need to be used for Series 60_3th + Carbide (on-debug)

    Thx,
    Alex

    Re: Tool's Clarification

There's no such thing as on-debug. Do you mean "on device debugging" (aka ODD)? If so, then the answer is: Carbide.c++ (Developer edition or higher) is the only tool that supports ODD. Also, on device debugging is only supported by S60 3rd Edtion devices or later.

Now, for the rest of your questions, if not yet answered, see the release notes documents for both the SDKs and Carbide.c++ or Carbide.vs

P.S. Carbide.c++ v1.2.2 is the latest version with official support for S60 2nd Edition SDKs (it is still available for download)

    Re: [merged] Tool's Clarification

Navigate to Home > Devices, Docs & Tools > Tools > Archive and there is it, under C++ category.

See also How to enable support for old SDKs in Carbide.c++ v1.3

For your question on Visual Studio see thread http://discussion.forum.nokia.com/fo...=151261&page=2, from post #13

Instead of re-posting your questions at 17:43 (my time), you might have considered reading the answers which I have posted at 17:12... It already contains how to get Carbide.c++ 1.2 for example.
