    Change res folder content

    Hello

I was wondering if I can change the content of a file located in the res folder, during runtime.

What res folder? You mean change a file in the JAR on the device? No way. If you want to store data on the device, you must use RMS.

Ty for your help Another question:

If I use RMS, the records I create with my app are deleted when the app in uninstalled? I need the data to be persistent, so I can't delete the records on exit. Ideally, they would be deleted during the uninstall process, so that no thrash is left behind. But I can't find any documentation regarding this. Any ideas?

RMS data is deleted only when the application is deleted from the device.

RMS data is not deleted when the application exits. Data will persist between different executions of the application.

RMS is the solution you are looking for.

    Re: Change res folder content

when the application itself is being deleted...why do u wanna keep the data...if u looking for an application update solution....then ur data persistence is taken care of by the mobile application manager. during application update the AMS will ask for retaining the data.
