Read temperature cheaply, what phone to use?

    Hi all,

this question spans multiple areas and eventually I chose this Forum. Hope it's ok.

Basically I want to get a cheap phone with a temperature sensor. The idea is to write a client application to make the phone read the temperature value and send it to a server application.

First of all, what phone today do you recommend? I was looking at the good ol' 5210, which has a built-in temperature sensor, but then it doesn't have GPRS, which will make it expensive to send the data to a server (or?). I also want to be able to do the programming in Java.

Second, is there some code snippets somewhere you could point me at?

    Thanks,
    Pierre

Ok, thanks rdrincon. I guess I'll have to switch to Symbian then. Any hints of what phone to use?
