    WLan Info problem undefined symbol:

    Hi,

    I'm trying to get the mac address of the wireless network that I cam currently connected to. I was trying the code from http://wiki.forum.nokia.com/index.php/WLAN_Info_API and I'm getting an undefined symbol error. It is stated below:

    Code:
    Undefined symbol: 'void CEikonEnv::InfoWinL(class TDesC16 const &, class TDesC16 const &) (?InfoWinL@CEikonEnv@@SAXABVTDesC16@@0@Z)'		WLANinfo	Unknown	1228166583406	270
    It is having trouble on the line
    Code:
    CEikonEnv::InfoWinL(_L("Test \n"),wlanMACAddress);
    Please let me know how to fix this error.

    Thank you in advance!

    You should check if the necessary library is added to your .mmp file. As you can see, the message says CEikonEnv (so it has nothing to do with WLAN), search for its documentation in the SDK Help.

    Emorgen has a linker error, and the way he can fix it is already provided in #2.

    hi emorgen,

    as already suggested, that you need to inlcude eikcore.lib in your mmp, to get rid of the error.

    and make sure you update the SDK, before trying this peice of code as suggested in the link from http://wiki.forum.nokia.com/index.php/SDK_API_Plug-in

    Thank you all for your replies. I did need to just add eikcore.lib to the mpp and it it got rid of that error.

    However, now when I run the program it shows no syntax errors and it just closes the emulator window. When I run it in debug mode I get the following error.

    Code:
    No source available for "0x2819636( ekern.exe )() "
    I just installed the SDK from Nokia so it is up to date. Please let me know if you know the reasoning behind this.

    Thanks again for all your help. It is greatly appreciated

    ekern.exe is surely not your code. However in the top-left section (Threads or something) you see pretty large list of such addresses+modules. Start scrolling it, and you will find your own code amongst them.
