    Using carbide for legacy applications

    Hi there,

We have an education application that runs on S60 second edition devices. We are updating the application but need to support both legacy devices and newer third edition devices too. Can we use carbide 2 c++ ide to develop for both editions? My programmer says it is not possible..Any ideas. Thanks

Carbide.c++ v2.x has just released may removed the code that was left in v1.3. i suggest using v1.2 for pre-v3 s60 projects.

Actually, the Carbide.c++ 2.0 (beta) build I have installed still contains the required templates and component definition so you might want to have a look at the blog post How to enable support for old SDKs in Carbide.c++ v1.3 and then check if the officially released version can still be hacked.
