    System Properties

    Hello all,

    on the http://wiki.forum.nokia.com/index.ph...acturer_domain
you can see plenty of system properties which is possible retrieve from system.

I have Nokia 5220(there is Series 40 5th Edition, Feature Pack 1,and it is GSM phone), and plenty of properties are null, like:

    com.nokia.mid.imei
    Cell-ID
    com.nokia.mid.imsi
    com.nokia.mid.ons
    com.nokia.mid.spn
    com.nokia.mid.mnc
    com.nokia.mid.cellid

Why is it so? I thought it is possible retrieve from system. I am new in this topic. Please be patient.

    thanks

    Re: System Properties

    Hi,

That is because your MIDlet is not operator or manufacturer branded. The article says:
The article is targeted at Series 40 developers using the Operator and Manufacturer domain.
The only solution is to get your application signed by an operator or manufacturer, which requires very close collaboration with them.
