    USB Port blocking

    Hi,

I need to block USB port for while as a part of my application. Can we do that using RCommServ. Is there any example available on this. I am working S60_3rd version.

Is there any other way to block communication from PC to mobile instead of blocking USB port.

    Please help me on this.

    Regards,
    Kanthi.

    Re: USB Port blocking

I was checking this one around year ago. If I remember correctly, it works a bit different in different devices, as well as there are no public APIs for doing it. Also it is possible that it actually requires symbian owned non-public APIs on some devices.

All and all, unless somebody knows better (like Mr. P, maybe), I would suggest you to open a Technical support case to find the actual answer for the platform version you are looking the answer for.

    Re: USB Port blocking

    Hi Jukka,

I believe it was us you did the research for and in the end we could not find an approved Nokia solution (such as PS key or CenRep key) to this so we used our own solution from the which I am afraid I am not at liberty to discuss.

Thanks Paul, I sort-of-remember it not going very well, due the differences in different platform versions, as well as even inside platform versions.
