Socket Connection didn't work on N96...

    Hi,

I'm developing file transmission on wi-fi network on N96 phones. I have 2 N96 phones connected to local router.

Let's phone 1 runs SocketServer and phone 2 runs SocketClient. The problem is phone 1 keep waiting for connection and phone 2 cannot connect to server. Anyone knows what is the problem?

Btw, when I run datagram, it works fine. I can send text, very-small-sized image through DatagramConnection, but not SocketConection.

Please help me, if you require more information or source code, I can post here.

Which port are you using? (Unsigned MIDlets canot create socket connections to ports 80, 8080 and 443 - although that should give you security exception).
Do you see any traffic on the local router you are using?

Re: Socket Connection didn't work on N96...

We use port 7000, and there's a traffic of data over the router. When we use datagram instead of socket connection, we are able to send text and image. So, there's no problem with the router.

We are only able to create socket connection when we run datagram connection on background. Why is that so?
