    Question VS 2005 + Carbide.vs 3.0.1 Error

    VS 2005 SP1 + Carbide.vs 3.0.1
    S60_3rd_Edition_SDK_Feature_Pack_2_v1_1_en
    S60-SDK-0616-3.0-mr.3.749
When create a new Symbian Project from VS 2005 "New Symbian OS Project", error appeared with message "Creating Project 'Symbian1'... Project Creation Failed" appeared at the status bar and a error dialog prompt with message "Category does not exist"

Any person got the same error? How to resolve it?

    Thanks.

Have you installed Perl too? (5.6.1 635 is required, the ActivePerl site still contains it, just click on the older releases link on the download page)

    Re: VS 2005 + Carbide.vs 3.0.1 Error

I think my winxp installed with a few Oracle products (Developer/DB XE,10g,11g /FusionMiddleware) and those Oracle products all come with their own perl/jre/jdk, after I do a clean install on a new winxp box, everything just running smooth...

Thanks for help, may be the next version of carbide.vs can identified the perl/jre/jdk, eg: can let the developer to specified where's the exact path of those programs located. Just feel sometimes, too auto (in this case, auto detect those programs) can cause more troublesome.

Thanks for all who provide their valuable time here... :)
