[moved] "TRK did not respond" after upgrading to 3.0.9

    Hi all,

I've been successfully debugging apps using TRK on Carbide 1.3. However, during the quiet holiday season I took the opportunity to upgrade Carbide to 1.3.1, which came with a new and cool "On-Device Setup" and a new version of TRK.

I ran the on-device setup, it happily connected to my old TRK and told me I needed to upgrade. I dutifully upgraded it (installing TRK 3.0.9 v3.1 on the N95 I'm currently using), and now I can't debug any more.

I connect using USB, and I've double-checked all the settings, but I get "Error: TRK did not respond" when checking TRK version on on-device setup. Does anyone have any pointers to how I might diagnose this issue?

    Thanks in advance,

    Matt

To hopefully confirm it wasn't a configuration problem, I've manually reinstalled 2.8.9, and now I can talk to TRK again from the "On-Device Setup" panel:

"There is a newer version of TRK available. Please use the install tab to install it:

Installed TRK version = 2.8.9, latest TRK version = 3.0.9"

Unfortunately I can't debug using this older version, as there appears to have been a breaking protocol change. I get "TRKProtocolPlugin : Failed to launch the application" (perhaps unsurprisingly).

So at least I'm pretty sure I have the device still set up ok, but sadly no workaround as yet.

Re: [moved] "TRK did not respond" after upgrading to 3.0.9

An update: I downloaded Carbide 2.0, and that can talk to the 3.0.9 TRK application just fine. So it seems an interaction between 3.0.9 and Carbide 1.3.2 is to blame, for connectivity anyway.

However, I can no longer get the breakpoints to work. They set ok in the IDE, but have no effect on the running application. Help!

Some debug output, if it's any use. I've just loaded up my exe and set a few breakpoints. No breakpoints appeared to be hit in the IDE, and the application continues to run.
