    Exclamation S60 3rd embedded sis problem

    hi,

    I am trying to generate an embedded sis demo using 2 applications.
    I take the following steps:

    1. get two app from internet,it was signed.
    2. use NotePad to create a pkg called "pacakagesisx.pkg".
    3. add two sis embed line to this app's pkg
    4. makesis packagesisx.pkg .
    5. try to sign (also using a self signature)

    It runs well in the most time.
    But sometimes it doesn't work fine when signsis.
    memory error, cannot increase stream buffer size.

    packagesisx.pkg:
    &EN
    #{"gamePackage"},(0xa000ae86),1,0,1
    %{"xxLtd"}
    :"xxLtd"
    [0x101F7961], 0, 0, 0, {"Series60ProductID"}
    @"1.sisx",(0xA0008135)
    @"2.sisx",(0xE3392F7E)

    the pkg file of this app from internet.
    if i write it in to packagesisx.pkg,the error is coming.

    &EN
    #{"XX"}, (0xA0008135),1, 3, 4, IU,TYPE=SA
    :"XX Technology Limited"
    %{"XX Technology Limited"}
    [0x101F7961], -1, -1, -1, {"Series60ProductID"}
    [0x102032BE], -1, -1, -1, {"Series60ProductID"}
    "..\bin\XXapp\TextFileIndex10.txt"-"", FT, TA
    "..\bin\XXapp\sys\bin\XX.exe"-"!:\sys\bin\XX.exe", FF
    ........
    ""-"!:\system\apps\XXapp\*.*", FN
    ""-"!:\system\apps\xxapp\", FN
    "..\bin\XXapp\sys\bin\XXfg_0xA0004C34.dll"-"!:\sys\bin\XXCfg_0xA0004C34.dll", FF
    ........
    "..\bin\XXapp\sys\bin\XXImgMan_0xA00086A5.dll"-"!:\sys\bin\XXImgMan_0xA00086A5.dll", FF
    ........
    "..\System\Apps\XXImgMan_0xA00086A5\Tip.mbm"-"!:\System\Apps\XXImgMan_0xA00086A5\Tip.mbm", FF

    this is the error message.
    memory error, cannot increase stream buffer size.

    Re: S60 3rd embedded sis problem

    I think this is the reason. why this is -1 ? not 0?
    [0x101F7961], -1, -1, -1, {"Series60ProductID"}
    [0x102032BE], -1, -1, -1, {"Series60ProductID"}

    Re: S60 3rd embedded sis problem

    it isn't the reason.
    i run makesis -h,i got some help:

    Where <versionrange> is defined as:
    Minimally, a single version of the form number major,minor,build
    optionally, you may specify a range of versions in the form
    major,minor,build~major,minor,build
    Versions may include the wildcard '*' or -1

    but where is wrong?

    Re: S60 3rd embedded sis problem

    where is the coding hero gone?
    I found an answer.
    It isn't a good solution.

    1.i use sisware to unsis it.
    here is the change.
    [0x101F7961], 0, 0, 0, {"Series60ProductID"}
    the orignal :
    [0x101F7961], -1, -1, -1, {"Series60ProductID"}
    2.makesis and sign
    3.write the pkg file of package.
    4.makesis and sign the package sis file.

    so i need to write a pc tool to do this job. :<

    why you are using -1, please explain,

    you should be using
    Code:
    [0x101F7961], 0, 0, 0, {"Series60ProductID"}
    by default

    Re: S60 3rd embedded sis problem

    i can't decide it . because i get it from internet,it's a sisx file.

    it isn't error for usr -1.i can install it on my phone.

    pls see this,makesis -h
    Where <versionrange> is defined as:
    Minimally, a single version of the form number major,minor,build
    optionally, you may specify a range of versions in the form
    major,minor,build~major,minor,build
    Versions may include the wildcard '*' or -1

    maybe it's a bug or a rule of embed sis .

    No it is not a bug. AFAIK [0x101F7961], 0, 0, 0, {"Series60ProductID"} does not contain application version info

    Re: S60 3rd embedded sis problem

    I suspect the problem might be here:
    #{"XX"}, (0xA0008135),1, 3, 4, IU,TYPE=SA

    I don't believe have never seen IU as a version
