    Re: About phone info

First line: Firmware (software) version number for that device

Second line: The date of the firmware (dd-mm-yy)

Third line: The Nokia internal model number for the device (hardware)

Fourth line: The marketing name of the device and in parenthesis an encoded indication of which "variant" (which country/region/operator the device was made for)

    petrib, thank you so much!
Could you give me more explaination of the firmware version and internal model number?
Can I know whether the phone is Symbian 9.1 or 9.2, and S60 MR or S60 FP1 from the info?
    Many thanks again!

    Re: About phone info

No, you cannot determine read from the firmware version number or the model number directly what version of Symbian or S60 the phone is using. It is in no way "encoded" in those numbers.

You just need to know, or install some software which reveals the S60/Symbian version info.

You can, of course, check the info also from http://www.forum.nokia.com/devices/matrix_all_1.html yourself.
