Question Nokia Contacts Services Support Package SDK

Where I can get Nokia Contacts Services Support Package SDK?

I want to integrate my application to Contacts like Gizmo.

I think you should contact Technical support to find out what APIs would be needed for your use case.

I'l save you the trouble, that API has apparently never been partnered (dispite gizmo getting it) and so you cannot licence it from Nokia.

I know as we have tried on at least two occasions to do it and noth times it has been rejected as it is not has never been externally partnered, dispite it being used in gizmo and in the threaded SMS application.

I do not know what to believe after reading Mark-07's post in http://discussion.forum.nokia.com/fo...d.php?t=155182 . Perhaps FP2 introduces some change, I have not checked.

    Hi,
Indeed there are some APIs available for 3rd party developers from S60 3.2 onwards that make it possible to integrate your application into phonebook/contacts.
If you are interested of them, please make a technical support request like Jukka proposed.

Our customer had specific requirements that they wanted it on base (FP0) edition devices, in this case E61's.

juhanak, do you know definately that this is the case as we were told there were not any API's that were avaliable for partnering.

As juhana said, there is something available from 3rd ed FP2, and not for 3rd ed MR..

Re: Nokia Contacts Services Support Package SDK

    Hi Paul,
According to my understanding 3.1/3.0 devices have Phonebook version 1 which has its own APIs. I'm really not that aware of the reasons why those APIs haven't been partnered as you told. But if the request has been once rejected, I'm pretty sure the situation is still the same.

Anyway there are new APIs available for devices having Phonebook 2 (S60 3.2 and 5.0). These APIs are available through API partnering if all partnering conditions are met.
