    Device for Location based application

    Hi,
I have developed a Location based application using S60 3rd Edition FP1 SDK.
My aplication is using GPRS for Internet connectivity and it is looking for device GPS location on reguler basis.
Now I want to test my application on a device. For that I found that Nokia N95 is suitable for my application.
Can you guys please help me to suggest a device or provide any comments on my option with Nokia N95.

    Thanks

N95 is good choice, basically anything with GPS is good, the API works the same way in all of them, so there is not too much difference between devices on the LBS point of view.

Re: Device for Location based application

Thanks symbianyucca for your quick reply.

As I was looing for Nokia N95 device specification on Forum Nokia I found that CPU Type for N95 is ARM 11.
I am using Carbide.vs 3.0 with Microsoft Visual Studio 2005. My query is that if I build release version with
Rel_S60_31_GCCE configuration, will that sis file work for N95 or any S60 3rd Edition FP1 platform devices?
I am confused with ARM and GCCE builds.

    Thanks

They work nearly the same in all 3rd ed devices, there are just some differences on performance and file sizes.

    Thanks symbianyucca

You mean to say that release build with Rel_S60_31_GCCE configuration will work for S60 3rd Edition FP1 platform devices, Right?
Please clear as I am going to purchase the device(Nokia N95).

Also can I perform On device debuging with Carbide.vs as I found on Forum Nokia that carbide.vs does not support ODD. If yes than how?

    Thanks a lot

Well, since Carbide.vs doesn't support on device debugging that can only mean tat you can not use it for such a task. Furthermore, Carbide.vs is a discontinued product and no longer available for download. You will have to download and use Carbide.c++, an IDE which does support ODD.
