    Photo Gallery

Hi, Im completely new to Flash lite and mobile dev.

I read on one of the posts here Titled "Flashlite and gallery files", that to get files like jpg from the memory card or the file system, that I need to use python or C++. Does this apply to both Carbide.C++ or just symbian C++? Or can I use S40 5th Edition SDK because I have the nokia 5310 Xpress Music ?

Also read somewhere that I need to use XMLSocket to link c++ with flash lite, so that sounds pretty straight forward.

    Thanx

    HI..
I haven't tried this out.. I think U can use Kuneri Lite to know the filename on the memory card of ur mobile..So, if u can find the file-name. jpg U can use it to load the image to ur Flash-Lite application..
( I am not sure on this solution-- jus research upon Kuneri Lite.. Its worth a search.)

You cant use Kuneri, janus , swf2go, Flyer etc .These all are for S60 . The one u can use is Jarpa that extends Flash Lite with Java. Here it is : (But not sure that either u can get gallery files or not)
    http://www.i2tecnologia.com.br/jarpa/
    Google it for more details.
Moreover, i read sumwhere that S40 OS are powered by Java not c++ .So , there is no way to extend it using c++ in S40 . Further, Even in symbian phones using flash lite ,it is not easily possible to browse any folder .What u can do is open images by direct paths. Hope it helps u. Enjoy Flash Programming..

    Best Regards,
