    Re: Scrolling inside a widget

    Hello,

    As wildabeast pointed out, overflow:hidden; in the inner div seems to cause some problems. I'll start to investigate this issue.

    What comes to actual code there is a minor design issue. Block level elements (<div>) should not be used inside a in-line level element (<a>). This can cause some other problems as well.

    HTML Code:
    <td style="vertical-align: top;">
    <a href="javascript:void()">
    <div style="overflow: hidden;" class="info-text">
    <div class="date">This is the date</div>
    <b class="header">Header</b>
    <br>
    <div class="description">
    this is the description
    </div>
    </div>
    </a>
    </td>
    Br,
    Ilkka

    My divs were text that needed overflow hidden ... to workaround I had to use javascrip to programmatically truncate the text until the container clientHeight reached my desired height.

    One workaround that could be worth of trying is to set images as a background for the div.

    Code:
    .backgroundCrop{
       width: 50px;
       height: 50px;
       background-image: url('image.png');
    }

    The problem is, that I'm not scaling the image, but rather cliping/cutting it to the desired size around the center.

    Hi cgessner,

    you should be able to clip the image by using the approach suggested by Ilkka, have you already tried that?
