[moved] Register a sms command in the interceptor??

    Hi,

I am building one application with the motive that it will get launched only when special sms is received. It will do some task and thereof get closed. Now one way is to implement the sms engine which will parse all the sms received, and check if to launch the application which is straight forward.

But i want to ask is there any way to do so , i mean registering the sms command with the Symbian OS, so that symbian OS take care of same. I mean when particular kind of sms received, Symbian OS itself launch my application?

This is just to prevent the battery consumption and minimal resource utilization.

    Thanks & Regards,

No way on registering SMS commands for the OS to handle, so you need to do the receiving and handling in your own application.

newbie2201, you need to write your own SMS observer application. Use MMsvSessionObserver in order to be notified of new messages. Run application in background and monitor all incoming messages.
