    Porting xlib apps to Maemo

Hi! I'm working on porting an existing xlib-based application to the Maemo platform. I'm trying to understand whether keeping xlib is a feasible option. (I know very little about GTK development.)

It seems like xlib works fine, except that we don't get the benefit of theming and the window size is too large. Ignoring theming for the moment, can the size issue be worked around? (Seems the window manager ignores my requests for window size.) Are there any other gotchas that are going to make me wish I was using GTK?

Any information would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

(And apologies if this is covered elsewhere, but an exhaustive search turned up little.)

Re: Porting xlib apps to Maemo

    Hi Damian,

Maemo developers are active on the maemo.org web site. Posting your question there would give you reliable solutions much faster that you could possibly get here.
