    Exclamation RFile::Write(const TDesC8 &aDes) in sdk for MR and FP1?

    Hi Guys,

    I want to know is there any difference in
    RFile::Write(const TDesC8 &aDes) API for S60 3rd Edition MR and FP1.

    In SDK, I found this API as asynchronous function for MR while for FP1 its synchronous function.
    is it copy-paste mistake in SDK or its different in this two release?

    Thanks in Advance!!!
    Thanks & Regards,
    Md.Khalid Ahmad

    yes you got it right TInt Write(const TDesC8 &aDes); is always synchronous functions. Looks like another typo in SDK Docs.

    There exists asynchronous versions of read and write, otherwise this would introduce a binary break.

    You cannot however have RFile::WriteCancel
