    All incoming calls stored first as missed calls

    Hi,

    When doing a missed calls monitor, I noticed, that all calls get first stored as missed calls while they are still ringing and just after they are answered or rejected, the corresponding call log record is changed to incoming call. Is this defined behavior? If yes, does anyone know why? Logically, the incoming call should be stored as incoming call and only if it is missed, it should be changed to missed call.
    And also, if this is a defined behavior, how to monitor missed calls?

    propably one reason could be that if your battery runs out or something else happens when the call is ringing, it is correctly stored as a missed call.

    so ... what about the second part of his question " how to monitor missed calls ?" i mean i need not to recieved it as missed call unless it is become a missed call.

    i'm using CLogEvent or log monitor.

    you gotta check then whether it is changed to be non-missed call or not.

    do you mean that there is no way to detect it when it become a missed call ? there is no event will be thrown ?

    it appaers that the logs first mark the call missed and then answered, so with it, you would need to work with that logic, of course you can also use CTelephony for monitoring the call line, for it, do check wiki examples made for the API.

    thanx ... i haved used CTelephony but it is the same; also in this API there no status for the line as missed call .. you need to check the status of ringing and not answered ... but here we need an exact defintion for " missed call ", when disconnected by remote user, by you, thhe ringing finished without answering, you are busy in another call, ...

    missed call would the one that was ringing but not answered, so if you think you can not work with the logs, then you would need to make your own logic and use other APIs, like CTelephony, that's pretty much I can say on the topic.
