    [moved] Unable to do device debug with Carbide 2.0

    Hi,

    As Carbide2.0 all editions are opened for all the developers. Certainly a good news. Today was my first attempt to debug simple hello world application on N96.

    I am not able to launch application from debug. Problem seems to be communication between Carbide and TRK running on phone. There is an option in connection Service Testing but result doesn't seems to be good.

    It results in to following message and version seems to be wrong.
    "Installed TRK is latest available version: version = 269981620.269981820.18"
    Also Playing around with different ports I also get "Error: TRK version response was corrupted"

    I am using USB cable and its connected to Nokia PC Suite. On Windows COM16 is used for NOKIA PC suite I used that port.

    I have installed s60_3_2_app_trk_3_0_8.sisx supplied with Carbide 2.0 and with USB cable it says connected port 1.

    I couldn't find a baud rate setting if either on TRK or on PC side (some post says that it should be 115200)

    May be something wrong with com port setting but do not understand several pieces.

    On TRK : Port 1
    On Windows XP->Control Pannel->BluteTooth Local Com-> COM16 Nokia USB N96 Modem
    OnDebug Window->Connection->USB-> I am selecting COM16

    Your help is appreciated.

    Re: Unable to do device debug with Carbide 2.0

    Hi,

    It worked with COM15 finally. However my breakpoint does not hit. Carbide says unresolved breakpoint.

    Hi Gailu,

    I'm having the same problem. The USB connection worked perfectly yesterday for Nokia e71, Carbide C++ 2.0, TRK v3.00(9). Today, I tried to setup bluetooth, that didn't work. Now even the USB connection is broken.

    Can you suggest what you did to resolve the issue?

    Thanks in advance!
