Open the native Image Editor Application

    Hi,
I tried to Open an image from my application through RApaLsSession which helped me to view the Image.

But I need to open the image for editing from my application directly. How can i achieve it. I tried AiwHandler, but unable to suceed.

    Any idea, please share.

it could be that the device you are trying does not have any iamge edition AiwHandler, I'm not sure if any device would have that either.

Re: Open the native Image Editor Application

There is no "native Image Editor Application", that can be a problem.
If you want to load and edit an image, you may want to check CImageDecoder.
Besides the Wiki and the SDK Help, you can check the FN-example too: Docs above, Documentation, Symbian C++, Multimedia contains an Image Converter Example.

Re: Open the native Image Editor Application

There is an image editor application in Nseries phones (at least all 3rd Edition ones, possibly more) and I think all S60 phones from 3rd FP2(?) onwards.

Obviously there is a way to launch the editor from another application because it can be done from the gallery in the same phones. You may need a technical support request and possibly API partnering for this.

Can this is approached in this manner.. like..

passing the editor application UID to open the image document (using DocumentHandler)...?? If so, how to identify the UID of tha particular Image editor application...?

As far as I know this isn't public information. That's why I suggest you make a technical support request to Forum Nokia.
