Music Remote Control API :: SetVolume() API - Bug in Plugin

    Hi Experts,

I am trying to use Music Remote Control API plugin. Looks like SetVolume() API of this plugin does not work correctly with New Music Player. Music Player is changed on latest FP1 and FP2 devices (not used 3rd ed). New Music Player supports volume level up to 100. Unfortunately SetVolume() API does not accept argument value more than 10 (error KErrArgument -6). It should either accept value up 100 on devices where 3rd ed music player is replaced with new or it should automatically multiply volume with a factor of 10 and apply setting to music player. Passing value 10 in this API sets volume to 10 (which is a minimum volume on new music player).

I am stuck with this. Any workaround please?

    Your help is appreciated.

Re: Music Remote Control API :: SetVolume() API - Bug in Plugin

    Hi Champs,

I tried to simulate volume key press event but that didn't work (yes, I have SwEvent capability). Probabaly this doesn't work because new player doesn't support traditional symbian view architecture as stated in overview here http://wiki.forum.nokia.com/index.ph...tandalone_mode

    Any other Idea?
