    [moved] Youtube problem in S60

I need to develop an application where I play Youtube video through any Symbian S60 native player like real player. Now the video streaming link is of rtsp that we need to pass to any native player. But the server I am using returns http links. Anybody has some ideas for my problem? Thanks in advance for any reply...

When you open http://m.youtube.com/, it gives RTSP links. I tried in firefox, if you open a video and try 'Watch Video', it picks RTSP link.

    Hello datha_k,

You are right. I did that already. But I need to convert the http link to rtsp. I can very well pass the http link to the native browser. It opens up a similar(page of same video link) page of "m.youtube.com". Then i hit the "Watch Video" or the Video link on the icon of video, it plays on the real player of the phone. All this is OK.

But I need something that can give the corresponding rtsp link of the youtube video http link. By this way I will be able to spawn the real player or any other rtsp streaming player withput going through the browser. That's my requirement.

    Thanks for the reply anyway!!!

No, you cannot convert HTTP link to RTSP link. Files contained in HTTP link and RTSP link are 2 different files. It is left to Youtube whether they want to create RTSP files/links or not.
I think youtube will give RTSP links only in pages contained in m.youtube.com unless you share a secret link with youtube

Thanks for the update. I was just trying for a way to get the rtsp link of corresponding http link. I was hoping for some Youtube API for the same.
