    ;Supports Series 60 v 0.9
    (0x101F7960), 0, 0, 0, {"Series60ProductID"}

; instal the 2nd exe, with search for sis file for MyApp Keyword

Re: One signed application to act on different configs ?

Let's experiment one more time. Can you try with putting your FR,RI exe as the last entry in your .pkg file?

    Code:
    ....
    ....
    ; main app
    "$(EPOCROOT)Epoc32\release\thumb\urel\MyApp.app" -"!:\system\apps\MyApp\MyApp.app"
    "$(EPOCROOT)Epoc32\data\z\system\apps\MyApp\MyApp.rsc" -"!:\system\apps\MyApp\MyApp.rsc"
    "$(EPOCROOT)Epoc32\data\z\system\apps\MyApp\MyApp.aif" -"!:\system\apps\MyApp\MyApp.aif"
    "$(EPOCROOT)Epoc32\data\z\system\apps\MyApp\MyApp.mbm" -"!:\system\apps\MyApp\MyApp.mbm"
    ....
    ....
; instal the 2nd exe, with search for sis file for MyApp Keyword
    "$(EPOCROOT)Epoc32\release\$(PLATFORM)\$(TARGET)\MyApp.exe" -"!:\system\apps\MyApp\MyApp.exe",FILERUN,RUNINSTALL

Re: One signed application to act on different configs ?

grt, i ll try and get back on this, and I won't be surprised if it works, as I am now used to this over so many years in Symbian but will definitely be happy if the solution works...

    will update soon...

Re: One signed application to act on different configs ?

No it didn't work, i also used a later sdk, 6.1 and it didn't work on that too.

The options i tried with File at the end with:

    FILERUN,RUNINSTALL,RUNWAITEND

    FILERUN,RUNINSTALL

    FR,RI,RW

    FR,RI

and none of them worked !!!

and all of them work on N70, but not on 6600 and 3230

Re: One signed application to act on different configs ?

what I have noticed is that on 3230 and 6600, run on install doesn't even work for exes !

anyways I have put a wiki article for the 3rd edition anyways:
