    Nokia 3500 + HyperTerminal not working...

    Hi.
    I am trying to send AT commands through my phone using HyperTerminal, but it doesn't work.

    My COM ports:
    COM1 - My real serial port
    COM3 - My PCI 56k modem
    COM4 - Nokia 3500 classic USB
    COM5 - Nokia 3500 classic USB Modem

    HyperTerminal is set to 9600/8-N-1, Flow Control: Hardware.
    When I connect to COM5 it says COM5 is used by another application.
    When I connect to COM4 it's all OK, but when i type "at" and then press enter it freeze for some seconds and then it doesn't echo anything. It doesn't even echo what i type!

    Can someone help me?

    Thanks,
    ab5000.

    P.S. Sorry for my english, i'm italian.

    Re: Nokia 3500 + HyperTerminal not working...

    The example works perfectly for me. I've used the following settings (goto File -> Properties -> Settings -> ASCII Setup):
    - Append line feeds to incoming line ends
    - Wrap lines that exceed terminal width
    - Send line ends with line feeds
    - Echo typed characters localy (Line delay: 0, Character delay:0)

    The USB Connection works great.
    With this settings, on COM4 it freezes/crashes/doesn't reply OK to AT.

    Hi ab5000

    U have to use COM4 in ur case.
    I have just completed the article from
    http://www.forum.nokia.com/info/sw.n..._v1_0.zip.html

    and it works fine 4 me.

    Check u are opening the correct port at ur mobile application.
    I was stucked when I tried to do it as
    Code:
    comm = (CommConnection) Connector.open("comm:com1");
    I was wrong
    Code:
    comm = (CommConnection) Connector.open("comm:USB2");
    works fine 4 me.
    I am using Nokia N79. We both have mini usb cable. So U also have to use comm:USB2#

    And sometime hyperterminal read the given output when the outputstream or the commconnection closed.

    I faced this problem.
